Robbie Scott Takes Bridesmaid Spot Twice

Shinnston, WV --- West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Robbie Scott, 30, of Shinnston, WV competed in his home state of West Virginia over the weekend racing at both Elkins Motor Speedway and Tyler County Speedway. Scott drives the team’s Rocket Chassis/Mopars by Stanton #18 sponsored by Amos Paving, Atlas Autobody Parts LLC., Patricia Feltz, Walt's Inc., Advance Auto Parts of Shinnston, WV, Hoosier Tire, Rocket Chassis and Scott Sign and Design.

“This past weekend we went to Elkins on Friday where we finished second in our heat and second in the feature,” explained Scott. “The car was fast but passing was minimal so we settled for what we could get. Saturday we went to Tyler County and clocked second fast, second in our heat and second in the feature. It was a good weekend and we were pleased w/ our performances.”

“This weekend we planned on trying to make the IRS Race at Rocky Top but sponsor obligations will once again see us at Elkins and Tyler County. One of our sponsors is bringing their elderly parents to the races and we are changing our plans to accommodate them. We are planning on making the trip to Sharon Speedway on July 28th for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series race where we set a new track record in 2006 during a MACS event. Hopefully we can build on that and have a good run!”

“We have had to scale back our racing to just local racing as of the past couple of weeks due to lack of help and financial restraints. We are currently and actively looking for support for our Mighty Motorsports Team. I myself as a driver also have been entertaining the idea of driving for someone, if the right opportunity presented itself.”

“Auto racing is an expensive sport and with just Dad and myself it is very difficult. We appreciate all of the support from our sponsors and our fans, without them we would not be this far! I think the general consensus is we have a ‘silver spoon’ in our mouths so to speak because of our relationship with my brother in law Mark Richards. Although I am proud to be associated with him and my nephew Josh, they have enough on their plates, and don't have time to worry about nor the time to field another race team such as ours.”

“We are confident things will work out for the best. It may not always seem that way at the time but in the grand scheme of things it always works out the way it's intended to. Anyone interested in contacting me can call 304-592-1835 or email scottdesign18@yahoo.com Serious inquires only.”
