5, 2007 Robbie Scott Weekend Schedule; IRS Thoughts Shinnston, WV --- West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Robbie Scott, 30, of Shinnston, WV has announced his upcoming weekend plans that includes another Independent Racing Series (IRS) event. Scott, an IRS regular, drives the teams Rocket Chassis/Mopars by Stanton #18 sponsored by Amos Paving, Atlas Autobody Parts LLC., Patricia Feltz, Walt's Inc., Advance Auto Parts of Shinnston, WV, Hoosier Tire, Rocket Chassis and Scott Sign and Design. This Friday evening June 8 Scott will be competing at Elkins Motor Speedway in Elkins, WV and then Saturday the team will head to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV in order to prepare for the following weeks IRS race. Scott will be back on the Independent Racing Series (IRS) tour on Sunday June 10 at the Challenger Raceway in Indiana, PA for Mega-Blitz 2007. Scott is running for the championship title and Rookie of the Year title with the new Independent Racing Series (IRS) this season, is currently sixth in points, and took time to reflect on the IRS. We still have high hopes about our chances on the IRS Tour this season, commented Scott. Although our finishes do not reflect it, we have had solid runs every race. The bad luck is killing us! We had a radiator bust while leading at Hilltop, the throttle hung at Twin Cities, IN while running eighth after starting 19th and we had a great run going at Zanesville (Muskingum) running ninth after starting 19th until a beginner forgot where the brake pedal was on a restart and relegated us back to a 14th place finish. Everyone on (IRS owner) Deans (Miracle) staff has been great and the drivers have all been great too. That's what makes it worth going back for . There is still plenty of racing left to gain some points and I am confident we can do better. We are finishing up the car we wrecked at Twin Cities, it had to have a front clip replaced. We are also switching the motors around in the cars to hopefully give us a little more consistent feel in each car. We had our blue front end car out at Muskingum and I liked the way it drove but we have too much motor for the tracks we will be running that is the reason for switching the motors around. We will have our 388 Mopar By Stanton in our black front end car and our 410 Mopar by Stanton in our Blue Front End car, the 460 Mopar by Stanton we will have in reserve for the larger tracks we will be competing at. We are doing all we can do to compete at the best of our capabilities but with just dad and I working on the two cars it is difficult especially when we both work at other jobs. Hard works pays off though (laughs)!
