FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Robbie Scott Competes On IRS Series

Shinnston, WV --- West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Robbie Scott, 30, of Shinnston, WV was back on the Independent Racing Series trail this past weekend at Tyler County Speedway in West Virginia. Scott, an Independent Racing Series regular, drives the team’s Rocket Chassis/Mopars by Stanton #18 sponsored by Amos Paving, Atlas Autobody Parts LLC., Patricia Feltz, Walt's Inc., Advance Auto Parts of Shinnston, WV, Hoosier Tire, Rocket Chassis and Scott Sign and Design.

“We ran real well at the IRS show at Tyler and actually finished it off too (laughs)!” commented Scott. “We started 12th and finished fifth. We had a different car and a different engine than last week when we won there. That was definitely a disadvantage to us but our 388 and our other car still ran very well and I'm very satisfied as well as dad too with the run.”

“Dad (Bob Scott) dropped off the 410 at Stanton’s today and hopefully we will have it back for KC (Raceway) this weekend.”

Scott currently sits in sixth place in IRS point standings, only 77 points out of first place. Scott is running for the championship title and Rookie of the Year title with the new Independent Racing Series (IRS) this season. This weekend finds Scott and the team competing at Jim Nier’s KC Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio, the next stop for the Independent Racing Series for Round # 7 on Saturday night June 23 as the annual “Night the Stars Come Out” take to the track as well as the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series do battle racing for $5,000 to win each.

“If everything goes as planned they should both be ready by Friday night, our fingers are crossed (laughs),” said Scott. “I think our luck may be starting to change for the better.”

The all-new Robbie Scott website is located at www.robbiescottracing.com

Additionally, Scott will be spotlighted in a feature story in an upcoming issue of Dirt Late Model magazine.
