FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Robbie Scott Gets Ready For Roaring Knob

By Jarrod Lehman

* Shinnston, WV --- West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Robbie Scott, 30, of Shinnston, WV had a busy weekend racing in two different cars. Scott competed primarily in his Rocket Chassis/Mopars by Stanton #18 sponsored by Amos Paving, Atlas Autobody Parts LLC., Patricia Feltz, Walt's Inc., Advance Auto Parts of Shinnston, WV, Hoosier Tire, Rocket Chassis and Scott Sign and Design.

“Friday we ran the Hillbilly 50 at Tyler County Speedway where I drove the #88 Rocket fielded by Chad Green and Jonathan Johnson,” explained Scott. “We qualified 12th among 59 entries. We finished second in our heat and finished fifth in the A-Main, after starting seventh. We were very pleased with our performance and I thank Chad and Jonathan for the opportunity.”

“Saturday we attempted to make the Hillbilly 100. We qualified poorly and started toward the rear of the heat race. We had climbed up to fifth before getting taken out of contention by the #99 car. The toe on the car was out about three inches after this incident. We elected to sit out of the consi as not to do further damage to the car as we realized we had little chance to make the race starting from the rear of the consi on a one lane race track. This was the first special event we have not qualified for the entire season.”

Scott will be back on the road this weekend to the Keystone state. “We are now preparing to tackle the King of The Knob race at Roaring Knob Raceway this Saturday,” said Scott. “We are very excited about this race, it will be or first attempt in this event and I am sure it will be a lot of fun!”
“I would like to thank all of our fans who turned out to see us at Tyler County and a very special thank you to a loyal fan who delivered a gift basket to us . Things such as these are what makes our sport the #1 sport in the world!”

Additionally, Scott will be spotlighted in a feature story in an upcoming issue of Dirt Late Model magazine.
