*September 17, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Robbie Scott Races With Lucas Oil LM Series By Jarrod Lehman* Shinnston, WV --- West Virginia dirt Late Model driver Robbie Scott, 30, of Shinnston, WV stayed in his home state of West Virginia this past weekend to race.Scott competed in his Rocket Chassis/Mopars by Stanton #18 sponsored by Amos Paving, Atlas Autobody Parts LLC., Patricia Feltz, Walt's Inc., Advance Auto Parts of Shinnston, WV, Hoosier Tire, Rocket Chassis and Scott Sign and Design. This past weekend we were at the Lucas Oil Series event at West Virginia Motor Speedway and this was a learning experience for us, explained Scott. This is a track I do not have much experience at. We hot lapped OK and decided to leave the car alone for qualifying. We did not qualify well and decided that we should have put some more gear in the car, it was just flat qualifying. We started ninth in the heat and had passed a few cars and on the last caution we lost oil pressure, so I shut the car down. After examining the car we found that we had an oil filter failure. As to why this happened we do not know. We have run these brand of filters since the 1980's. We have not found any further problems or damage to the engine, as it still had oil pressure when I shut it down. We have an idea what the problem may have stemmed from and are planning to make some part changes in that area. I wished we could have ran some more, the car was running well and getting better. I am just glad that is all it was and not something terminal. This weekend Scott and the Mighty Motorsports team will be in action at Beckley Speedway for the Let Freedom Ring 40 followed by a trip north to Pittsburghs PA Motor Speedway for the annual Pittsburgher sanctioned by the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. T he all-new Robbie Scott website is located at www.robbiescottracing.com Additionally, Scott will be spotlighted in a feature story in an upcoming issue of Dirt Late Model magazine.
